“Fatal Attraction” to “Civil War” – do not make the same mistakes in Libya that were made in Bosnia & Herzegovina. Senator John McCain reflected a more transparent vision of the US intervention while President Obama tried to walk a fine line between domestic and international considerations. Terminology such as “regime change” and “civil war” can come to distract from or become substitutes for substantive considerations. Both the President and the Senator in the past have compared Bosnia (BiH) and Libya; however are Washington’s eyes open to the mistakes made in (BiH) so that the lessons have actually be learned?
