Reuters reported that Venezuela’s minister confirmed that Hugo Chavez will run for re-election in 2012 despite his problems with curing a cancer disease.
Parliamentary elections last September showed the nation essentially split down the middle between Chavez supporters and opponents. Now, a fractious opposition coalition senses a chance to unseat a convalescing Chavez in the 2012 election.
